hi! i'm marlyn!
i am a new adult contemporary romantic comedy author. that's mainly what this website is dedicated to. but also a few other things.
i am a singer, songwriter, and author. to put it simply, i am an artist.
i have been singing since i could speak and writing since i could pick up a pen. music has always been my go to, my escape, my soul. i love writing and listening to music, and singing. my whole life, all i ever wanted to do was sing. i wanted to be hannah montana. so much so that my dad used to call me hannah montana as a nickname. i attended a performing arts high school and studied music in college. music is and has always been my life. when i was 14, i discovered a love of writing stories, and now i have two passions.
i started my writing journey when i (like may others) discovered wattpad for the first time. i read a few stories, fell in love with reading, made friends with some of the authors and became inspired to write. number one prize was the first story i ever wrote, it is my baby. it is a passion project i have gone back to multiple times over the past decade, it has grown and evolved as i have grown and evolved. when i needed an escape from life, i escaped into number one prize, into my writing. i have a total of five stories that are all interconnected in some way or another, not as a series per se, but they are all part of the same universe, the marlyn literary universe (mlu).
